Nothing is generated until someone asks for it. One upload, one URL, and the variants take care of themselves.

Browsers that support AVIF or H.265 get them, everything else gets JPEG or H.264. You never have to write the fallback.

Extra storage is $0.015 per GB on every plan. For a sense of scale, 8 TB of delivery is roughly 8,000 hours of 1080p viewing, or about 2 million image requests at an average of 4 MB.
